We collect the information you choose to send us through the website's forms, and limited technical information needed to run and protect the website.

Quote requests

When you send a quote request, we collect:

• your name, company or organisation, email address and country;
• your phone number, if you provide it;
• the products and quantities in your quote list, any custom items you describe, and the requirements or message you write.

Product update subscriptions

When you subscribe to product updates, we collect your email address and record when you confirm your subscription and when you unsubscribe.

Contact page

The enquiry form on the Contact page is not active at present and does not collect any information.

Technical information

When you use the website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the website and protect it. To prevent spam and abuse, the website also keeps temporary counts of recent form submissions from each IP address.

The website also records anonymous page-view statistics with Vercel Web Analytics (see Cookies and similar technologies).

The forms do not ask for financial, health or other sensitive personal information. Please do not include such information in your messages.

We use the information described above to:

• review and respond to your quote request, and send you an acknowledgement with its reference;
• send product update emails to subscribers who have confirmed their subscription;
• operate, maintain and protect the website, including preventing spam and abuse;
• understand how the website is used, from aggregated page-view statistics;
• keep a record of the requests we receive.

• Quote requests: we may email you an acknowledgement of your quote request with its reference and the catalogue items you listed. The details of your request are also sent to AEGIS so that we can respond.
• Product updates: we send product update emails only after you confirm your subscription using the link in the confirmation email we send you. Every product update email contains a link to unsubscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

When you unsubscribe, we keep your email address marked as unsubscribed so that we do not email you again.

• The website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and it does not include advertising trackers.
• The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies: a visit is recognised by a temporary value derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. It records the page visited (without any query string), the referring website, the approximate location, and the browser, operating system and device type, and is used only for aggregated statistics.
• Your quote list is stored in your browser's local storage on your device, so that it is kept while you browse. It is not sent to us until you submit a quote request, and it is cleared once your request has been sent. You can also clear it by removing the items or clearing your browser's data for this website.
• AEGIS staff who sign in to the website's administration area use an essential session cookie. Visitors to the public website do not receive this cookie.
• The Contact page shows a map embedded from Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives information such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, as described in Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

The website relies on the following service providers, which process information on our behalf to host and operate it:

• Vercel, which hosts the website, processes the technical information described above and provides the page-view statistics (Vercel Web Analytics);
• Supabase, which hosts the database in which quote requests and subscriptions are stored;
• Resend, which delivers the website's emails;
• Google, which provides the map on the Contact page.

• Quote requests and their details are kept in our records. No automatic deletion period is currently applied. Retention period: [TO BE CONFIRMED BY AEGIS]
• Subscription records are kept while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, your email address is kept marked as unsubscribed so that we can respect your choice.
• A record of each email sent by the website (recipient, type and delivery status) is kept as part of its delivery history.
• The counts of recent form submissions linked to IP addresses, used to prevent abuse, are temporary.

We use technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. For example, the website is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and within the website, only authorised AEGIS staff who sign in to a protected administration area can view the information submitted through it. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
